Stanley Bostitch PRO-3850 Prozhoze Air Hose

Polyurethanes have been around since the 1940s and they have been used in a myriad of applications. This is because they can be in foam, liquid, or solid form. Polyurethanes are resilient, durable, and flexible. When in solid form they can be classified either as a thermoplastic or elastomer. Thermoplastics are rigid and can be used as substitutes for fiberglass or even metal. Elastomers, on the other hand, are flexible and elastic but they maintain a degree of elasticity. It is in this form that polyurethanes are used to manufacture air hoses, such as the Stanley Bostitch PRO-3850 Prozhoze Air Hose.
The “3850″ in the name of the air hose stands for its diameter and length, which is 3/8 inch and 50 feet respectively. Although polyurethane is itself a tough and hard-wearing material, the Prozhoze air hose is further reinforced with ribs for strength and longevity. This enables the hose to withstand air pressure of up to 300 PSI. This also helps keep the hose smooth and slick thus improving its handling and maneuverability.
Owing to its strong construction, the hose is resistant to abrasions, cuts, tears, and punctures. It is also impermeable to gasoline, kerosene, oils, and chemicals making it easy to clean.
The Prozhoze is an extremely flexible hose even at extreme temperatures on both ends of a thermometer. It retains its flexibility even at 180°F, which is close to the boiling point of water, and also at -40°F, way below its freezing point.
For attachment to your air compressors and pneumatic nailers, grinders, sanders, ratchets, or paint sprays, the hose is equipped with ¼-inch MPT fittings. The ends of the hose have snap fits for strain relief and flexible reinforcement.
The Stanley Bostitch PRO-3850 Prozhoze Air Hose is colored bright yellow making it highly visible in the workplace. This prevents workers from stepping and tripping on it, and also keeps them from rolling over it with the carts and dollies.
