Porter Cable 60325 Rubber Air Hose

Porter Cable 60325 Rubber Air Hose

Rubber air hoses have been in use long before the development of polyurethane and PVC air hoses. In spite of the introduction of these new materials, rubber remains a popular alternative for the manufacture of air hoses; and indeed, they may actually be better for certain applications. One of the finer specimens of rubber hoses available today is the Porter Cable 60325 Rubber Air Hose.

The hose has an internal diameter of 3/8 inch and a length of 50 feet. At this length, you have enough hose to connect your air compressor on the ground with your pneumatic roofing nailer while fastening slate tiles on the roof.

The hose is fitted with 1/4-inch NPT male brass thread connections for a quick and easy attachment to an air compressor as well as to any pneumatic tool, such as an air nailer, ratchet, drill, saw, or grinder. To reinforce the ends of the hose and to keep them from splitting owing to the pressure of compressed air passing through it, they are protected with ferrules.

For added strength, the entire length of the Porter Cable hose is reinforced with a braid of high tensile polyester cord. This helps the hose maintain its maximum burst rate of 300 PSI, and to deliver the compressed air at the pressure required to run your pneumatic tools, or even several tools simultaneously.

The hose retains its flexibility even as it is strengthened. Characteristic of most rubber hoses, it is soft to touch and is actually more comfortable to grip than its polyurethane or PVC cousins. It is colored red which makes it highly visible. This is often important in a busy work area where people repeatedly walk across the floor as they go about their work. Inconspicuous hoses can sometimes trip people engrossed in their work, or they can be run over with heavy tool carts causing them unnecessary damage.
