Legacy Levelwind Retractable Air Hose Reel
Coiling a long hose after use can sometimes be tedious. This is especially true for professionals who may have to do it several times a day to keep their work area uncluttered, to protect the hose from potential harm, or to move from one work area to another. This is where a Legacy Levelwind Retractable Air Hose Reel comes in handy.
The reel is made of UV stabilized polypropylene making it resistant to corrosion and fatigue. It is also resilient against physical damage. The hose, on the other hand, is made of PVC. It has a working pressure of 350 psi and can handle temperatures from 0° to 150°F.
The hose is layered and coiled smoothly inside the reel. You can choose the length of the hose that remains outside with the adjustable hose stopper. The reel can be operated in two modes –freerun and latching zone. Freerun means no latches are engaged so that if the hose is in use, it has to be restrained to prevent it from retracting into the reel. Latching zone, on the other hand, uses a spring-loaded latch mounted on the reel’s drum that is flipped every time it passes the latching zone. A click is heard at this point. If you continue pulling at the hose, the latch is by-passed. If, however, you stop pulling and allow the hose to slowly retract, the latch engages and the hose is locked.
The Legacy Levelwind can be mounted on a wall from a height of from 5 to 15 feet, from the ceiling, or on a bench. Brackets appropriate for these different options are included for the proper orientation of the hose reel. The reel can swivel up to 135° from its bracket, but it can also be locked in seven different angles.
