Hose and Fittings Low-Temperature PVC Hoses

Polyvinyl chloride is an inexpensive plastic that has plenty of applications –from credit cards, through toys, water bottles, doors, to furniture. PVC is a tough and durable material that resists abrasions, cracking, hardening, rotting, and scratches. It is also resistant to acids, grease, oil, and other chemicals. Owing to these qualities, it is also an excellent material for hoses, thus we have the Hose and Fittings Low-Temperature PVC Hose.
The hoses are actually constructed in three layers. The inner tube is made of black PVC compound. Although tough on its own, the inner PVC tube is reinforced with a second layer consisting of a spiral polyester yarn. Made from synthesized polymers, it is very resilient and resistant to mold or mildew. It has longitudinal yarns that prevents that reduce elongation when subjected to pressure. The outermost layer is again made of PVC compound but instead of the black of the inner tube, they come in five colors –yellow, red, blue, green, and gray.
In addition to their resistance to abrasions and chemicals, the low-temperature hose is also unaffected by ultraviolet rays and the weather. It remains operable and flexible even in both low and high temperatures, from -15° to 150°F. Owing to its PVC components, it is lightweight and convenient to use. Recoiling after use is also easy because of its flexibility.
The Hose and Fittings Low-Temperature PVC Hoses can be used not only for the transfer of air and gases, but also for water and mild chemicals that are water-soluble. Maximum working pressure varies with the internal diameter of the hoses, with those measuring ¼ to ½ inch being rated at 300 PSI, while larger hoses with internal diameters of ? to 1 inch are good up to 250 PSI. At these pressures, most pneumatic tools such as nails guns, paint spray guns, grinders, or ratchets are adequately supplied with compressed air through the hose.
Standard length of the hoses with a maximum of ½-inch internal diameter is 500 feet, while those that are larger come in lengths of 300 feet.
