Both the inner tube and the protective yarn are further enveloped in a red PVC compound cover. Like the inner core, it is also silicone-free. This provides additional safeguard from damage that may be caused by outside elements such as chemicals and oils, external pressures such as stepping or running wheels over the hose, as well as exposure to harsh weather conditions and ultraviolet rays. In addition to its resistance to oil, it is also resistant to abrasions and scratches. Although it is pin-pricked, it is non-marking.

The hose has a nominal internal diameter of ¼ inch and external diameter of ½ inch. At 70°F, it has a maximum working pressure of 300 PSI but this drops down to 150 PSI with a temperature increase to 122°F.
