Goodyear Plicord Air Green 400

Goodyear Plicord Air Green 400

Made of strong and sturdy synthetic leather, the Goodyear Plicor Air Green 400 air hose is designed to withstand the harsh environments of not only industrial plants and construction sites but mines and quarries as well.

Like most air hoses of this type, the Air Green 400 consists of an inner tube, a reinforcing fabric, and an outer cover. The inner tube is made of Goodyear’s proprietary Plioflex synthetic rubber that is colored black. It is classified as an RMA Class C, which means it has limited oil resistance. Being nonconductive, the inner tube does not conduct heat, electricity, or sound.

For a tough reinforcement, the inner tube is supported by a synthetic fabric that is spiral-plied. This type of ply is often considered to be stronger than other types.

The exterior or outer cover of the hose, like the inner tube, is made of Plioflex synthetic rubber. Unlike the inner tube, however, it is colored green, making it quite visible among the tools and equipment in industrial plants, construction areas, mines, and quarries. It also falls within RMA Class C with limited oil resistance.

The Goodyear Pliocord Air Green 400 is designed to keep on working even in extreme temperatures, ranging from -25° to 180°F (-32° to 82°C). This means you can work with it in Beaver Creek in Yukon, Alaska or in the Death Valley in California.

The air hose comes in a length of 100 feet, and in 10 different diameters –1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 1, 1-1/4, 1-5/16, 1-1/2, 2, 2-1/2, and 3 inches internal diameters. The 1/2-inch hose weighs 0.23 pounds per foot, while its 3-inch sibling weighs 2.14 pounds per foot.
