Binks 71-280 Fluidall Fluid Hose

The inner tube of a Binks 71-280 Fluidall Fluid Hose is constructed from nylon making it lightweight, durable, and resistant to damage. It also provides the hose with an excellent tensile strength. Developed by the DuPont Chemical Company, nylon is one of the most used polymer products in the United States today. Developed from petroleum, nylon has an extremely rate of decay.
The nylon tube is protected from the elements with a Class B Synthetic Smooth Rubber. This makes the hose pliable and soft to touch. Also, as rubber is resistant to oil and other fluids, ozone, and aromatics, it is easy to clean and maintain, often needing only a good wipe with a clean rag. To enable the Fluidall Fluid Hose to withstand high pressures, it is reinforced with a braided cord.
The hose has an internal diameter of ¼ inch and an external diameter of ½ inch. Bend radius is rated at 3 inches allowing its use in tight and labyrinthine spaces requiring the hose to bend backwards. With the combined strength of the hose’s three layers, it can handle a maximum pressure of 500 PSI. This is an extremely high pressure that is normally seen only in large industrial settings. By contrast, most handheld pneumatic tools such as nail guns, air grinders, or air ratchets require approximately 120 PSI. Operating temperature ranges from 0° to 190°F. This means that the hose will continue to function well below the freezing point of water to near boiling.
At a length of 100 feet, the Binks 71-280 Fluidall Fluid Hose weighs 8 pounds.
